It's All Downhill From Here

I had a somewhat sad realization this morning as I was on my way home from my run: Nothing in the rest of my day is going to be as good as that was. I'm not expecting a particularly bad day or anything, it's just that runs are almost always the highlight of my midweek days. So, the downside of going for a run at 5:15 in the morning is that the best part of the day has already passed by the time the sun rises. "It's all downhill from here," doesn't sound quite as nice in this scenario as it usually does.
On a brighter note, I wore my custom shirt that I had made for the marathon today for the first time. I wanted to give it a trial run before the race and realized that I needed to do it this morning because tonight is probably the last time I'll do laundry before the race! Only 11 days and 31 miles left... Almost there. Oh, and the shirt was great – very comfortable.

Glad that the shirt feels good and that you were able to wear it before the actual day!!!
